The Rocky Mountain Writing Centers Association (RMWCA) and Online Writing Centers Association (OWCA) are excited to announce a co-sponsored event titled “Engaging Writers Online: A Tutor-Centered Conversation” on Tuesday, April 12 at 3 pm EST/1 pm MST.
During this hour-long conversation, a panel of student tutors will discuss ways they have successfully engaged writers in a range of online tutoring situations and modalities. The goal of this conversation is to put tutors’ critical work in the spotlight, as they share insights on practices that have proven useful in bridging the virtual divide between tutor and writer.
We invite all tutors, both student and professional, who are interested in sharing their own effective online practices and/or would like to learn more about practices other tutors have used to promote writer engagement in online spaces. We also welcome administrators to the conversation to listen and learn about the practices, tricks, and tips online tutors have built into their online tutoring work.
